Certification: guarantee for quality
Wilthagen meets the strictest requirements, which underlines our commitment to quality and sustainability:
Wilthagen is certified in BRC, IFS PIA, SKAL, BLK, MSC and ASC
BRC is recognized by the GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) and is an international certificate for food safety. Higher level, for delivery to international retailers.
IFS PIA: PIA stands for Product Integrity Assessment. In addition to our BRC certificate, the integrity of the product, including related processes (financial, purchasing, etc.) is tested. Product integrity is the guarantee that a product (content and packaging) fully complies with what is communicated to customers and consumers, including legal requirements.
SKAL is an independent organization that monitors organic production on behalf of the government. With this quality mark, consumers can trust that it is a truly organic product.
BLK is the Better Life quality mark of the Animal Protection. The Better Life quality mark is about animal welfare and taking concrete steps to improve the living conditions of animals.
MSC: sustainably caught fish. Fish with the MSC label is caught sustainably. This means that the chance of bycatch is much smaller and fish stocks are sustainably managed.
ASC stands for responsible farming. For farmed fish and shellfish, the ASC quality mark applies. The quality mark guarantees that extra attention is paid to preserving the natural habitat of fish and that the use of antibiotics and chemicals is limited as much as possible.
